| The objective is to encourage community awareness in local youth through the sponsorship by Woking Lions Club of a project in which the young winners design, organise and implement a project to help the Woking community.
- The Award: The award will fund the winning project costs up to a maximum of £3,000, to be paid out in the first six months of 2007.
- The Participants: Entries are limited to recognised youth organisations in the Woking area that have members, 11 years and older, in full time education. (schools, scouts and guides, youth clubs, youth groups etc)
- The Recipients: The beneficiaries of the project will be as wide as group of local Woking residents as possible.
- The Submissions: Initial submission should be made in writing, of up to 1000 words, plus simple costing and outline business plans with drawings or illustrations if appropriate.
- Selection Process: An elected group from within the Lions Club will select the 3 best entries and invite a formal short presentation by those selected. The final decision will be made by Club members attending a meeting where presentations will be made. The Club may invite a recognised external judge to participate at this stage. In the event of a tie, the Club President’s decision will be final.

The 3 best entries will be invited to give a short presentation to the Club. (15 minutes maximum) Winners will be notified shortly afterwards. The two runners-up will receive £50 in recognition of their time and effort. |

Project completion date. Progress on the project will be monitored and assisted by members of the Club, as
necessary. |

The winning group will be presented with individual
Winners’ Certificates and £100 prize by a local dignitary with press coverage. |
